The moment that Evan Klanfer got his hands on his very first camera, an old Konica, a full blown obsession was born.

As a teenager running around New York, always with a camera in hand, Evan fully immersed himself in photography.  He'd shoot his friends skateboarding on makeshift ramps, punk bands playing in hot crowded nightclubs, gritty city landscapes after dark. Before long Evan's pictures were getting attention and he realized that he had found not just a hobby, but a career.

After honing his skills by assisting several major photographers, Evan struck out on his own and moved to west coast. He'd always been attracted to LA's wide open spaces, its diversity, its light. California also particularly suited Evan's affinity for youth and lifestyle photography.  He loves to express freedom, movement and energy in his pictures and to capture moments that others might miss.

Evan has brought his unique vision to major campaigns for Sony, Price Waterhouse Cooper, Taco Bell, Merck, Puma, and Evisu Jeans, among others.  His editorial clients have included  L'Uomo Vogue, Flaunt Magazine, Zink Magazine, Soma Magazine and Shape Magazine.
